District events

We run a range of events to fundraising for our adventures, as well as for the local community. Some of these events are exclusively for our members, whilst others are open to the public.

Dursley fireworks

Each November we run the Dursley Fireworks, something we've been doing since 2016. We raise money for a chosen charity, as well as ourselves and the other local organisations that support us on the day.

Easter bingo

Date: Friday 4th April
Venue: The Chantry Centre, Long Street, Dursley
Times: 6-7.30pm and 7.30-9pm
Cost: £5 per person, per session

Girlguiding Dursley district are organising a fun Easter bingo evening to help raise funds for their trip to Disneyland Paris in May 2026. The event is open for anyone to come along and support our fundraising venture.

The event will be split into two sessions, each booked separately:

• Session 1 runs 6.00 - 7.30pm: This session will be for our younger audience. We'll use simpler bingo cards, with 75 numbers on them under the letter B, I, N, G and O.
• Session 2 runs 7.30 - 9.00pm: This session will include regular bingo cards with number 1-90, with six cards per person.

Each session will include 3 rounds of bingo, each one with Easter treats as our prizes.

There will also be a raffle in each session with some amazing prizes donated by Gloucestershire organisations, including (to be split across the two sessions):

• Slimbridge WWT entry for 2 children
• Birdland entry for 2 adults and 2 children
• Milton Brown products
• Milton Brown hand & arm treatment for 6 people
• An air fryer from Gillman's
• Baylis and Harding products
• Body shop products
• Books from Waterstones
• Sherborne Cinema Gloucester - 2 x complimentary tickets
